The Used Bikes Online founders are long time mountain bike fanatics, riding since the early 80's on those great first generation mountain bikes! Like many enthusiasts in any sport, they loved to collect bikes. As the bikes started piling up it became apparent the everyone need to clear some bikes out. A site was built to help facilitate the transactions.
When they put the site together they were determined no to slip customers extra fees in the shopping cart. As a consumer on the internet he hated all the e-commerce sites that have great prices until you check, when they hit you with HUGE shipping cost which completely changes the deal from being great to, not so good. So UBO become reality after years of development, experiencing much success out of the gates as a result its model of selling high end bikes at a Great Pricing, Guaranteed Customer Satisfaction, and FREE Shipping!
Eventually there was so much traffic that they couldn't keep enough bikes in stock. UBO had to decide whether to either close the site down or find a way to get more bikes to sell. Not like they could just put an order in to manufactures for more bikes! That was when the UsedBikesOnline Partner Agent concept was born. They figured other bike fanatics would like to join forces and to create a legitimate business. Over the past couple of years they have experimented with different business models and in the spring of 05 re-launched the Partner Agent program with huge success. We ship for free to the lower 48 or Continental United States. That means the price you see is your final price PERIOD!Used Bikes Online.com ships domestic ground parcels by FedEx & DHL. Note: Deliver to PO Boxes and military APO/FPO often does not work.
Orders Outside the Lower 48 & International Orders:
Used Bikes Online will accept orders outside the lower 48 states upon clearance of funds.
Upon notification of your order we will send a shipping quote. Shipping costs are dependent on location and package weight, and size.Customs:
Customs and import duty charges may be charged by your domestic government when the package arrives in your country. Many countries charge a higher customs charge for new bikes. We mark our boxes "Used Bike" so you won't be over assessed at customs. Please remember any fees that are assessed are in addition to the purchase price and thus become the responsibility of the customer. Refusal of the package does not limit liability of these charges for the recipient. If you have any questions about this please resolve them before purchasing by contacting your country's import office to inquire about import taxes and duties. Furthermore, we cannot export product with a lower than actual value to circumvent these charges.
Credit Card Fraud:
Credit card fraud is common fraud on the internet and unfortunately it is much more common from international addresses. We lose hundreds every year to those with no sense of morals. In order to protect ourselves against this we take the following precautions:
All international orders are delayed until we verify the credit card and address information with the issuing bank for the credit card used (usually 3-5 days). If the wrong billing address for the credit card you are using is entered, than that transaction WILL NOT go through.
